Terms of service

Last updated 4 August 2026

The rules of the road for firms using 1associate — what we commit to, what we ask of you, and how billing works.

Agreement

These terms govern your firm's use of 1associate, operated by Triam Technologies. By creating an account you accept them on behalf of your firm.

If you are signing up on behalf of a firm, you confirm you are authorised to bind that firm.

Accounts

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for what the people you invite into your firm's workspace do with it.
  • Confirm your email address to activate outbound features such as inviting colleagues.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

Plans, billing and taxes

We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial months. If something has genuinely gone wrong, talk to us — we would rather fix it.

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in Indian rupees through Razorpay.
  • Prices are exclusive of GST, which is charged where applicable.
  • Plan allowances — including the client limit on each tier — are enforced by the platform. Reaching a limit prevents adding more of that item; it never removes anything you already have.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
  • If a payment fails we keep your account working through a short grace period and try again before access is reduced.
  • triam Partners plans are granted, not purchased, and are subject to the partner programme's own terms.

Your data

Your firm's data remains your firm's. We claim no ownership over the clients, engagements, documents or records you enter.

We process that data only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.

You can export your data at any time while your account is active.

Acceptable use

  • Do not upload malware, or content you have no right to store.
  • Do not attempt to access another firm's data, probe the platform's security without written authorisation, or circumvent plan limits.
  • Do not resell or white-label the platform without a written agreement.
  • Do not use the service in breach of any applicable law or professional regulation.

Professional responsibility

1associate is a workflow and record-keeping tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, audit or legal advice, and its outputs — including anything produced by AI assistance — are drafts for a qualified professional to review.

Statutory deadlines shown in the platform are aids, not guarantees. Responsibility for compliance and for filings remains with the practitioner.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and take regular backups, but we do not warrant uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the fees your firm paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or puts the platform or other customers at risk. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

You may close your account at any time. On closure we handle your data as set out in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified to account owners by email at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: support@1associate.io.
